I have a large collection of effects pedals and pedalboards, and for this one I wanted to see if I stacked enough of them together if they could hold a listener's interest solely based on how the various constantly fluctuating interactions between all those modulation and time-based effects would self-generate new and constantly changing events in the flow of a drone instrument, in this case the e-bowed guitar, without any interaction from me.

This is not that album. That may be next; I'm not sure. What I instead decided on was to manipulate the sound of the drones (in this case two e-bows balanced on the 2nd and 5th strings of a single electric guitar) with the various stacked effects pedals, turning them off and on to effect changes in the flow, as well as detuning and retuning the higher of the two strings. I figured that might be more interesting than being strict about the concept, and maybe producing a considerably less interesting piece of music. But I may yet go back someday and produce that masterwork of tedium.
