This is that album. The third in my unofficial "Increasingly Semi-Generative Pedalboard Music" series: that Masterwork of Tedium.

On this, I decided to play an almost totally passive part. I ran an e-bowed guitar through four consecutively stacked pedalboards, with all modulation and delay devices engaged, so the various changes in the sound would trigger further changes down the line, and ideally keep things pretty excited on a granular level.

I did two pairs of drones: one pair on the D note, and the other pair on its fifth, a higher A note. Each pair had one track with the Mel9 string emulator engaged, and one without, just for a little additional variety. I recorded each one of these four drones for 45 minutes apiece, and then mixed them together. I also introduced a gradual detuning of the two higher drones, again just to add some additional motion into the mix. No dynamics here!

"Slight Return" is the same track, halved in length, reversed, and then run through numerous all-wet reverbs and a few wet/dry reverbs until it has been hollowed out and smoothed down.
