Violist Jo Bird of Two Star Symphony (twostarsymphony.com) is a friend I've known many years. She played viola on a track off of "The Black Hand of Man", and finally we did a full-length collaboration on this album. She first played me a solo viola composition she'd written called "The Countess", which I then sampled various parts, edited and recombined them, and then added them back in with the original track, which plays throughout. After that, Jo improvised for about a half an hour, and I took those improvisations and edited, processed, and recombined them into new compositions for the remaining tracks.
