In 2004 The Last Bastions were selected by Diverseworks for a local residency performance, replete with a budget, a space, and marketing, as a production of the Houston Performing Arts program. As a foundation, The Last Bastions (Mike Switzer and Charlie Naked) took interviews of friends and field recordings from around the city of Houston (including at the Transco Waterwall, the Galleria, Godwin Street, and Downtown Houston, the latter of which incorporated an unplanned street performance by Two Star Symphony.) While this played, the Ensemble improvised live, using graphic notation composed by Charlie Naked.

This is the performance in its entirety, on March 27, 2004, at the DiverseWorks Art Space, Houston, Texas.
